Gichathaini is one of three washing stations under the Gikanda Farmers Co-op.
Owned by the producers themselves, with 770 active members.
Located near Karatina in central Nyeri — volcanic soil, fresh water, and consistent rainfall define the region.

Cherries are picked ripe, sorted, fermented overnight, and washed with clean Ragati River water. The water is recycled and runoff is filtered to protect nearby ecosystems.
